Depends on where you are going and how far in advance you purchase everything. Sometimes a package deal isnt cheaper than booking seperately, only more convenient. Both airfare and hotels will be cheaper mid-week rather than weekends.
Its always best to book airfare directly through the airlines. Airlines do sell package deals as well. Sometimes there is a cost savings, sometimes not, you just have to do research.
Hotels...if you know the area, Hotwire has the best deals. You dont know what you are getting until you pay for it, but Ive never been given a crappy hotel in a bad area. They are always the best hotels and I ususally book a 3.5 star or 4 star and get a suite for $89 or less in some cases.
If youd like some help, e-mail me at mspain79@yahoo.com I worked in both the airline and hotel industry and Id be glad to point you in the right direction and help you avoid getting ripped off. Travel agents charge booking fee's as do travel sites that are not the airlines direct website. Just let me know your travel days, if you are flexible or date specific, city pairs (departure and arrival city) and I'll be glad to help you out. |

Hum, are you wanting to fly on a cheap airplane, and stay in a cheap hotel. And stay with someone with a cheap package. People will start to say "she is cheap, very cheap". |

As far as cheapest airline tickets, probably the airline's website directly is the best option. I fly a lot for work so I book a lot of travel. I always check expedia.com or orbitz.com or one of those sites, and see which airline has the cheapest flights. Then, I go to that airline's website and pick the exact same flights, and more than 99% of the time I get the exact same fare. Except, most of those websites charge a "booking fee" of $5 or more so it's actually cheaper through the airline. And many airlines guarantee that you will get the cheapest fare through their own website. I know American Airlines does this and probably most others do also.
Also, many of the "low-fare" airlines (Southwest, JetBlue) do not list their fares on those websites so you actually have to go to the airline's websites. However, most of the time I find those airlines to be at least as expensive as other airlines.
Most airline's websites offer package deals as well for hotels but I have no clue if those are good deals or not I've never booked a package deal from anywhere before. |

I do not know of any websites, except I've goggled or do local ones to pull out travel agencies and contact all, and those who even service flights to the destination and back, I always check for prices. Once I get the cheapest, I get it booked when I want to go badly. So it all depends, sometimes there are some websites that are not legitmate. If I happen to be in the area, I would check one or a few to compare costs. It's all about me fitting in the budget. |

try cheaptickets.com and please, never buy directly from an airline it's expensive...also, you might want to check around your area for local places where they sell airline tickets, that could be even cheaper than online websites. good luck |
