One airline is not always cheapest. On LON-NYC sometimes Air India, Kuwait Airways, Zoom booked from a consolidator... or BA or Virgin if they're having a sale. You can quickly see all of those--lesser-knowns, as well as big airlne sales, here: http://www.cheapflights.co.uk/flights/New-York/London-Area/ ... and then do quick and thorough comparison shopping with http://travel.kelkoo.co.uk/c-172201-flights.html and http://www.bookingbuddy.com With just these 3--which check all of the other sources and offers for you--I think you will find the absolute best offer. |

A good offline discount travel agency like Trailfinders or STA Travel will usually give you a better deal than the online sites for a flight from London to the US. |

Dont be taken in by cheap airlines,,,they have hidden costs,,and can end up more than a good airline that has everything included,,,your best bet is BA or Virgin Atlantic |

Contact a travel agent. They will do all the leg work for you. They have access to all the airlines' published (web or otherwise) fares which will save you a lot of time. They will charge a service fee for tickets you purchase, but most airlines will charge you to call them as well. If you do a package (air, hotel, car rental, tour, etc.) there are no additional fees to use an agent because they get paid commission from the vendor.
If you do have the time to research, Travelocity, Orbitz, and Expedia are the most popular websites. |

Flyzoom.com are very good. Cheap flights every other day. I used them in May and a perfect service. Its about a £350 return each. While most other airlines are £400 for a single |
