Cheapest day to travel on in july?
airfare Additional Details i will be traveling from dfw to nyc want an early morning flight and come back late that same day or early the next morning
Depends where you are going, but July and August are "high season" you may not find any days "cheaper" than others during those two months...
Check out the cheap airfare websites just in case...

Tues and weds. My best advise would be not to travel at all during the week of July 4.

The words July and cheap are an oxymoron.
Most everything is sold out.
If available (and don't call me) tues and wed are suppose to be cheapest.
End of august still has availability to most places.

Really you need to book 30 days in advanced. July 4th week, and even the day of July 4th is busy. Cheapest days with advanced purchase are going to be Mon-Thurs and Saturday. The end of the month is less expensive than the first because of the holiday. But also keep in mind the end of July is when people start returning to school. Most schools start the first of August and kids are going back to college. So, keep that in mind when booking.
Whatever website you use, READ ALL OF THE FARE RULES. Websites like Priceline, Cheap Tickets, Hotwire, Lowestfare.com etc all lock you into the ticket and you can not for any reason change them. Book with the airline directly to avoid booking fee's.
