I don't know what the situation is when you're already onboard the plane.

You have to ask yourself what you would prefer. Fly on a safe aeroplane or one with a fuel leak ? Get over it and be glad it was spotted before you got airbourne.

umm no you are not entitld to anything you got to the destination did you not?

If you missed a connecting flight, you might be able to get some compensation, but if you simply arrived at your proper destination only 4 hours late, your chances of getting any compensation are pretty low. Writing an email as you did is a good place to start but don't get your hopes up. Mechanical delays are something that happen to all airlines and it's one of the risks you take when travelling. Your ticket entitles you to safe travel between point A and point B, no more.

By the way, if a plane will be repaired after boarding, the passengers are usually kept onboard. They usually only let you off if the plane will be changed. That's because it is too hard to estimate how long the repair will take and assemble all the passengers back up when it is time to go.

There was a fuel leak and you all were kept onboard--hostage--whilst it was under repair???!!! That is outrageous (in a literal sense of the word). Are you *certain* it was fuel, and not water or something else? I can't imagine a pilot, who scraps take-off due to a leak, would jeopardize passenger safety by not releasing them during the repair. If you know for fact it was fuel, then you should ring your local news media.

I can understand you wanting to receive compensation. I would too. It is so rude and such bad service of them not to reply to you. I think however that compensation is only given for delays of 6 hours or more . For 6 hours delay they give a voucher for a snack. The delay compensations are really mean. Imagine if you have kids to amuse all that time as well.I would keep onto them all the same.

No, all u are entitled to from an airline is welfare eg drinks n food but thats only after 5hours. Ur insuarnec may pay out but not for 4 hours.

No offence but it is realy worth it...lifes like that sometimes you have to wait. People are always out to get something why can we just accept that a mistake is a mistake and stop trying o screw people for money.
