Prices are cheaper over the internet. If you call to talk to a live agent the ticket price is higher.

Airlines claim that they do. Delta says that if you find a fare on a travel website cheaper than their website, your flight is free. Sometimes airlines will have promotions that the travel websites do not have. If you find something on the travel website, go to that airline's website and see how much the ticket costs. |

ya usually for advertising, but they have different classes of fares too. like if you pay the full, not discounted economy, with no restrictions, it costs more, but gives you more flexibility vs, the cheapest economy with restrictions. also they often advertise without tax. like i saw a virgin atlantic ad on the internet $160 one way new york to london, i clicked it then it is only for certain off season days, times plus about $500 taxes. |
