Do Airport Police have the right to take a photograph of a passenger? |
Please settle an argument. My friend says they have the right to photograph anyone they like. I think they do not. How could they have the right to photograph someone who has committed no crime?
Additional Details
I don't mean those cameras that are taking pics of all of us, all of the time. I mean being pulled aside and photographed. How legal is that? |

You do not have a privacy right to your image while you're in public.
An invasion of privacy may exist when photos are being taken of you while you're inside your home.

A video camera is now standard police equipment and is seen at places where there are many people to aid identification |
