The simplist answer is:Yes. You can go to your local DMV and get a state ID if nothing else. With Airline restrictions the way they are now, you should always have an ID, and make sure you keep it close at all times.

You don't need an ID to fly within the US. International is a different story though. Depending on your age, you might need an airport personal escort.

Good idea to bring a Birth Certificate with you though and a school ID if you have one.

Are you an American citizen?? How will you be traveling?

If you are a US citizen, then no passport is needed to travel within the US. If you intend to drive, then you'll need a drivers license. It is always recommended to have at least some form of photo ID. You shouldn't travel alone.

I took my godkids (ages 3 and 8 at the time) to Disney World on a plane, and didn't need any ID for them. (this was post-9/11.) One of the ticket takers pulled them both aside and asked them their names, and I always have a signed permission slip from their mom if I take them over state lines. (I've had it noterized at times.) I also had their insurance cards if I needed them, which thank God I never have!

You do after December this year.

If you're flying using a commercial airlines, like United and such, they will Require you to show some "legal" form of I.D. before they will let you on the plane. Btw, having a plane ticket with your name on it does NOT fulfill that requirement, so you'd best have a valid state I.D. card or valid Driver's License, or you can expect problems. If you're driving, I expect you know that answer. ;)
