If its a domestic flight, that is originating and ending in the United States, you will NOT need a passport. If you are flying between the US and Mexico or Canada, which is not a domestic flight, you will.

tst1980
no only an ID... you only need a passport when u goto a different country

No. That rule is only for travel to Canada or the Caribbean. You do not need a passport to travel to other US states.

private_jet_charter
No the changes being made to passport requirements do not effect domestic travel within the US.

Here are two websites that will help you with the new changes:
http://www.jets.com/Jets_PressArticle.aspx?ArticleID=252
http://www.dhs.gov/xtrvlsec/crossingborders

Hope this helps!

I received an email from Air Canada on Dec. 6, 2006, and this is what they say.

Pack that passport!
By Mark Goodson

As of January 23, 2007, travel between Canada and the United States will require a valid passport. Find out more before you travel.

Hope this helps.

Thats just silly.

Passports were made as a pass for international travel.

"For this induvidual to be guided freeley through internatational bounderies without beeing hinderd and to get full respect and to be protected by that one country"

So unless the USA becomes 52 countries, then NO.
