Do airlines supply colouring books & other activitites for long flights?

Save yourself the bother and just check-in your kids in a suitcase and they'll be ok in the hold.

Ha! The airlines don't even supply peanuts anymore, and the ones that do want to charge you for them... I pack a backpack with crayons, coloring books and small magnetic travel games like checkers and tic-tac-toe so the pieces won't get lost...

There used to be a supply of colouring stuff on BA long haul. Usually kids portions for food. As for your laptop, provided it's on the approved list then it should be OK. What with all the goalpost shifts with the rules these days it's probably best to check with your airline a few days before you fly.

Some airlines provide puzzles etc for kids. all long haul flights have movies and on screen games to keep them busy. You should check with the travel agency about meals as they should be able to order kids meals if requested. If you booked online, contact the airline directly about this.

Yes they do provide books etc. If your child has special dietary needs, you have to let them know in advance. I don't know about lap tops.

No - Depending on who you are travelling with
some good long haul airlines have seat back entertainment as well as hand held games - even in economy.
Some airlines like Virgin provides Kiddies packs which will do colouring books etc

it depends on how old r u. for instance if u r travelling unaccampanied u will get something. and u cant use ur laptops once the flight is taken off. if it is a sort of long journey u might get ice creams. i got one myself when i travelled frm london to india.

currently most airlines provide colouring books with kiddies pack for kids onboard to keep them busy...
as for kids meal.. there isnt any choice, but the meals are all appetising for the kids.. you can choose to change it into a normal passenger meal on board, provided if they hav extra meals onboard...
And yes, u can use your laptop on board.. we even hav laptop charger station... but u can only use yr laptop during cruising period...

I have *never* been on a flight where the airline has provided coloring books, regular books or any other activites other than the normal inflight entertainment-usually a movie or TV. If I were you, I'd pack a tote bag or backpack with plenty of **quiet** activites for your child to do-crayons, a hand held video game, books, small cars or dolls, etc. As a parent, it is your responsibility to keep your child entertained on the flight, not the flight crew's.

Also, most airlines don't provide meals anymore. Again, I'd pack some snacks in the backpack-carrots, apples, chips, cookies, a sandwich or luchable, crackers with peanunt butter, whatever your child likes. Again, it is your responsiblity to feed your child and make sure their needs are met.

Every flight I've been on has allowed passengers to use their laptop once the captin has approved it. Your computer must be stowed for take off and landing. Wireless devices such as controlers, remote controls and cordless mouses are phrobited. Taking a lap top with some games your child can play and movies they can watch is a good idea-just don't forget to pack the headphones.

I very much doubt you will be able to use your laptop! I would take your own stuff for the kids I have never be given anything for them to play with or colour.....and when you book your flights you may have a choice of food. Some airlines offer a choice on board, but I don't know which airline you are using.

Airtours used to do this my kids got colouring books and crayons. Bet u have to pay now or take your own to be safe I think the kids have the same food as everyone else not sure about the laptop though you will have to check that one out.

Most airlines don't have coloring books, but they do have a bag of gifts for the kids with like some small games for them to play with. They do allow laptops once the plane has taken off.

All charter airlines provide Kiddies packs. Most scheduled carriers do but i'd check beforehand. All airlines offer kids meals but you have to pre-order with the travel agent, not the airline. Laptops can be used on flights but only after take-off, and the wireless network switch must be disabled. Hope this helps - I work for an airline!
