We travel this route often, & yes you need passport. It does depend on the airline, but I would definately take your passport . Better safe than sorry. |

Yes, you either need a passport or I think some airlines may accept other photographic ID like a driving licence instead but you need to check with the individual airline. |

Absolutely not.
It's a domestic flight, and as such is no different than going by car or train.
Not unless you're going outside the UK during the flight, in which case it would not be domestic.
You will however be required to provide proof of your identity, so a passport could be used.
As such, you are only required to carry a passport if you are travelling outside the national boundary.
It is quite feasible for someone to fly domestically and never held a passport. |
