You don't need a passport, but some form of photo ID so it is still commonly used. A driving licence or work ID badge will suffice.

lushpoppy
yea you need your passport

If you have a passport use it. Less hassle. If not check with the airline. On the airline's website should have the information. Usually a driver's licence is ok but like I said passport is 100% guaranteed.

vixta1982
no you don't but you will have to bring something like a driving licence, and they may be officious and ask for a passport.

you will need a form of identification which a picture - most airlines will supply a list of suitable identification i.e. passport, drivers licence, student id cards etc so check with your airline

michelle a
if you havent got a passport then use a driving licence. but it depends on the people you fly with whether you need your passport, phone them and check.

You don't need a passport to go from Edinburgh to Leeds all you need are two letters of identification i.e utility bills with proof of address and name.

You'll need photo id to board the plane. This will mean passport if you have no other photo id.

Both cities are in the United Kingdom (Edinburgh in Scotland - Leeds in England) so you shouldn't need a passport to fly from one to the other if you are a UK citizen.

Though you may need proof that you are a UK citizen. A birth certificate may be good enough.

If I were you I would call the airlines and ask them to get a definite answer, since different airlines have different requirements.
