For as long as you have your Passport with you. That's what is required in US interstate travels via plane. |

What You'll Need
The documentation you'll need will vary depending on your destination.
Within the United States, U.S. Virgin Islands, and Puerto Rico
Select from the following:
* One unexpired form of local or federal government-issued photo id, such as:
o Passport
o Driver's License
o Military ID
* Or two unexpired forms of non-photo id—one must be issued by a state or federal agency.
Outside the United States
Visit Visa & Passport Information to determine which documents you'll need to enter your destination country.
Your easiest option is to go get a new State ID. Call the airline and ask them but be prepared for a huge hassle without a State or Federal issued identification card. |

As long as it shows a photo, birthdate, name and address.
I was shut down on an SW flight with my college ID since all I had was a ticket instead of my license. Needless to sat they would not let me on the plane. |

I had my drivers license, and $$ stolen in Vegas, 4 hours before my flight home last year. I called the police dept office at the airport and they told me TSA regulations allow persons to fly without a photo id. I checked in without a problem telling them what happened. I did have to go through first class checking as they search and scan more thoroughly. It was a breeze! I never thought I would get home. |

TSA will allow you to fly on domestic flights without government issued ID so long as you submit to additional screening at the security checkpoint. Your high school ID may or may not be sufficient ID for the TSA in this instance. |

School ID might not wok. It is good to have driver's licence etc photo ID. |

Check directly with the airline on what their requirements are.
Also check on the TSA website at www.tsa.gov |

Goverment-issued ID is required, and I don't think your high school ID will work. You might want to get a replacement ID or use your passport if you have one. Good luck! |

You need to carry at all times a state ID or drivers license or a passport when trying to get on ANY flight foreign or domestic. UNLESS you are between the ages of 14-16 then you must be prepared to show a school ID or birth certificate. Not a photo copy, but one with an embossed state seal. The short form birth certificate is small enough to carry in your wallet, just don't laminate it. |
