You can take cell phones with you on the plane, but as soon as the plane starts to go pretty much, you have to turn them off. And once it lands they will tell you that you can turn them back on again. Also, according to the FCC website that I have here, they were considering lifting that ban of having the cells phones off. It seems they may not be as much of a problem during flight as they first thought it would be, but there was insufficient for them to overrule it. Hope this helps!

Best to just keep it off for the duration really.

You can keep in your hand luggage or you can put it in your checked-in luggage. That depends on how much you trust the baggage handlers not to drop it or lose it and whether you want to use it in the departure lounge.

Yes, yeah, yup, go ahead, can also take your notebook, laptop, organizer, planner, digital dairy etc. Nowadays you can also make a call from Mobile in flight. Luftahansa allows.

I would advise taking any electronic belongings with your carry on, including laptops, cameras, anything that would be attractive to thieves, or damaged by rough handling.

You can but do remember to switch off before you enter the aircraft and do not switch it on again until you are in the airport lobby.

Yes you should take your cell phone with you in your carry on luggage. They actually suggest that you take those types of items in your carry on rather then in the checked because they are less apt to get damaged.
