On the morning of Sept. 11, I would have felt reasonably safe. The main worry, if any, would have been mechanical failure of the plane.
Its always in the back of my mind for a few seconds when I travel, "what if this plane explodes" or "what if there is a hijacker on board". But you can't be dwelling on those things or you'll go crazy. I've been on both USA domestic flights and flights to and from Asia and Europe since the 11th. There are hundreds, if not thousands of planes in the air in the USA everyday and we haven't heard of any hijackings since the 11th. So, I feel relatively safe. I figure, if its my time to go, its my time to go. I can just as easily die in a car accident or from crime in the city. |

Yes and No. I like the illusion that it is so much safer because they ask us to take off our shoes. However I know nothing is perfect. I am sad to say it is only a matter of time before we become blind to our soft spots and then some one else might exploit them. |

The creepy thing is about me is i bought tickets to get on the flight that went into the trade centers and the only reason i'm here today is because i had to go to the hospital for one of my friends |

there is no reason to be afraid. it happened once and it has never occured again so far. and indeed the security after 11 september 2001 has become much more intense, fear is only for the superstitious. |
