it depends what time of day you are flying, and how long the flight is... if youre on a 5 hr flight, and its between 1 and 6, theyll probably serve 1 meal, but if youre on a 1 1/2 hr flight, between 9 and 11:30, theyll just serve coffee and juice (no soda)

yes, they give you meals...and a lot too
go to http://www.airlinemeals.net/indexMeals.html and search for your airline

I just went on a overnight (8 hours) flight to Europe 2 weeks ago and YES I did get food! My airline was Lufthansa.

I'm sure it varies from company to company and also how long your flight it, but I think most companies will at least serve you one drink and one packet of snacks.

Personally, I also got TV, radio, blanket and pillow. As well as drinks ever 1/2 hour or so and a breakfast and dinner. And some snacks.

I was in economy class, too. :)

It depends on the length of the flight and the class of service. Most USA airlines offer a meal in Economy Class only on flights over 3 to 4 hours. First Class might get a meal on flights as short as 2 hours.

Call the airline you will use and ask - the reservations agent will be able to tell you if there is meal service for the flight. You can get the toll free number of any airline by dialing 1-800-555-1212.

cherylincanada
No meals. You get a little snack. Make sure to bring some food and drink on to the plane but don't buy it until after you get through security or they will take it away from you.

yes

SONNY
I DON'T BELIEVE YOU DO.
I DO BELIEVE SOME PEOPLE BRING A SNACK WITH THEM.

yes on some airlines you do.. such as delta and continental.. it also depends where your flying from and how long the flight is. If your flight in 2 and a half hours or longer then in my experiances yes, you do.

papars
Yes, they do. The type of meal or meals they serve will depend upon the flight time, the part of the day during which you'll be onboard the flight and whether you are flying a Full Service Carrier or a Low Cost Carrier (budget airline).

Full Service Carriers will serve meals as well as alcohol and other beverages. On Low Cost Carriers, you'll have to pay for the food you order from their in-flight menu.

Low cost carriers dont carry food for flights shorter than 3 hours. Other airlines offer only a snack if the flight is of a short duration. This can range from a muffin and juice to a large sandwich- depends upon the airline.

robbie
Domestic..no

Overseas..yes

Don't ask me why

Leilyn
Meals are offered on International flights only. Domestic flights offer snacks (barely) depends on what airlines of course.
