morph
yes you need to count down till your parachute opens

islandgirl
no you don't, but i would say you do need to know basic maths.
they more go on your customer service experience, and you as a person and how they think you would be able to deal with different situations and teamwork . so don't let not knowing maths put you off.

have a look at www.cabincrew.com

Tara ツ
Nope

Flight attendants arent flying waitresses, you have to learn a lot about safety, first aid, emergency procedures etc. If that plane goes down you are going to be looking to your flight attendant to get you off and assist the injured.

Conor
No, but it may be useful to know math. Being an air hostess is just being there for everyone

Square Pants
nope.. in fact, you can be a steward even you're dumb than a dumbered.. as long as you can communicate with people and have a good looking...

Tulip
i don't think you have to have an A level or degree but you would need to be able to do simple arithmetic-for example when you would go around selling tea and coffee-you have to work out cost and change in your head!

Tech Guy
aslong as you have passed gcse maths sure you would be fine

Yes you need to have a GCSE in Maths (the correct term in the UK to all of those who are taking the P**S).

Ignore all of the idiots who think Cabin Crew are stupid. They are the stupid ones for not realising that you would have to put out a fire, save someone life who is having a heart attack, evacuate the plane in an emergency, save the pilots life if he becomes incapacitated, deliver a baby if the mother went in to labour, prepare the cabin in the event of an emergency etc!! It's all the little things that people don't realise.

SWEngr
Not anymore than a doorknob needs math

somarshboss
u have to be good locking that's it
