I did growing up, near Manchester UK. Just about where the aircraft intercepted the ILS, fuelled an interest in aviation which now sees me working in the Air Traffic Control profession and living next to an airport in Scotland. |

When I lived in Thailand. Could always see the plane taking off quite well from the airport. It was loud but the noise doesn't bother me anymore. |

Yep...My house is 10 minutes away from OAK(Oakland International Airport)...The funny thing is, its not in Oakland, CA. Its in San Leandro, CA. Which is where I live. My school is even closer to it since its near the Marina. If it wasn't for the boat dock and the trees, I could actually see the planes on the run way. |

No, I'm halfway between East Midlands and Birmingham International but far enough away for it not to be a problem. |

i live really close to an airport so theres a lot of planes that go right over my yard or over wherever i am. they go real low too cause theyre usually taking off or landing |

When Concord used to fly,we could set the clock by it's sonic boom,9.30 in the evening,as it flew over the channel.
Sort of miss it. |
