confucious says
only a full british driving licence is acceptable and it as to be valid a provisional one will not be accepted probably a students card but I would check first in fact I would check first with any ID YOU come up with. take no notice of the answer any photo ID CAN BE USED IT CANNOT THE AIRLINES MAKE THERE OWN RULES
the law does not change until the end of 2008 and it as not been finalised yet

limabear
oh u need either drivers license (or provisional) or a passport....... apply for that license ! ! !! phone the airline..... they may be able to make some sort of arrangement with you re other id in advance. . .

Billy S - is that a Visa Card?

The passport is the easiest form of photographic identity

Your going to need your passport, they changed the law last year, so that even if your traveling domestic by air it is needed.

abbie.pink
You won't need a passport unless your leaving the country any photo id card would be fine.

You don't need a passport, though it is the best ID.

classyone
No you do not need a passport, but a form of adentification with your photo will do.

Mike&Beki.
You would need picture ID to fly within the uk so citizen card or something . I use my Driving licence to fly to Belfast but you say you aint got that so any photo ID.
