YES, Definitly. California is out of this world. A completely different country. Immigration is very tough, especially if you come from Texas.
Sorry

Travel within the U.S. and its territories does not require a passport. However if you've already got one, might consider carrying it as it's a solid form of ID that nobody will argue with.

NO you are still flying within the US, just buy your ticket and fly on.

private_jet_charter
As long as you are US citizen traveling within the United States and US territories you do not need a passport to travel.

luna
from where?

Actually you do if you are flying internally but not a US citizen or if you didn't have a US Government issued form of ID such as a drivers licence.

Assuming you are a US citizen you need photo ID. Proper ID such as a drivers licence or a non driver driving licence (not kidding, these do exist), not like a library card or anything :)

Amar D
Nope. You are fine. Passport by definition is a document that you require to go from a port located one country to a port located in a different country. Since Texas and California are part of the same country, you do not require a passport. Still you will require a valid photo ID. Photo Driver's Licenses are commonly used.

bailie28
no you are still within the united states
