I pretty much only sleep during the flight. Something about the pressurization of the cabin puts me out.

hey depends what time the flight is, sometimes i go to sleep whilst on the plane, depends on how long the flight, is, or sometime i go to sleep for a few hours when i get off the plane and then get on with what i was going to do whilst at the certain destination, below are some suggestion on how to sleep on a plane, so you dont miss nothing when you get to your destination:
Avoid the last row of the plane, any seats in front of the exit row, bulkhead and aisle seats in favor of window seats. Take one carry-on. Skip the coffee. Board early so you can nab a blanket and pillow. Bring a neck pillow from home. Wear shoes you can slip off easily. Wear ear plugs. Take sleeping pills if you please. And feel free to recline your chair back, but don't be a w@nker about it!!

It really depends on which way I'm flying but generally I try for a nap during the flight, failing that I usually have a nap after if I can. Flying east across the ocean I have to nap before my flight because I usually have to drive for an hour or so. Where do I nap just about anywhere I can I usually just pull my ball cap down over my eyes and take a cat nap.

During the flight while listening to a running stream, birds in the tropics or a waterfall on my Ipod.

I sleep after my flight-- usually I fly long-haul and when I do, I have so much jet lag, I'm just knocked out :)
If I'm not flying too far, I still usually sleep after my flight- before it, I'm too wired up and energized to... sometimes I sleep on the plane, but normally I can't because of the noise.

Well it depends on what time do I have a flight.
If it's in the morning I sleep before it, if it'd late in the evening, well yep I basically sleep when I get to my destination.

I don't sleep in the airport. There's really no comfortable place to sleep unless you can get in an airline's premier lounge (reserved for frequent flyers and people who pay for access). I would never sleep in a public part of the airport unless I am traveling with somebody I can trust to watch me and my bags.

I'm pretty good at falling asleep once I'm on the plane...

you should nap before and after, because you DONT WANT TO BE TIRED ON THE FLIGHT, it leads to agravation and jetlag hangovers, (airline jargen lol).
