Yes, its still possible as the last time a plane was hijacked it was carried out with boxcutters!! This time around it would be slightly harder with all the extra security, but definetly possible! Theoretically and practically you can make a lethal weapon such as a knife out of the right kind of plastic that would go unnoticed by metal detectors and if the hikackers had enough colleagues on board they could definetly control an aeroplane full of people.
However, it is extremely unlikey the hijackers could direct the plane towards a terrorist target on the ground as the chances are it would be blown out of the air by an F:16!! Such an event would still make world headlines for months and unfortunately something like this is probably going through the planning stages already.... |

It is 100% possible. You just need enough like minded individuals on the right plane. With weapons or even potential weapons not being allowed on planes it would come down to brute strength. |

Nope. Security is very good now, and these stupidos couldn't plan a drinking party in a brewery because they suddenly realised they are not allowed alcohol. Just relax and enjoy the in-flight movie, and the G&T. Not you, you can't touch that. |
