Drink something or just plain swallow. Chewing gum really helps. Blowing your nose and taking a sinus pill before your flight.

This happens to me every time I fly. it is a build up of pressure in your ears. All you have to do is hold your nose then try and blow it hard. I promise this works, you may need to do it as you descend too.

Couple ways:
-chew gum
-listen to music
-hum

-talk (to move the jaw)
All of these work for me!
Enjoy and have fun!
