It is probably easier to get an anti anxiety prescription from the doctor - you don't need it every day - just when you have to fly.

i always had a fear of flying but when i had to do it i blanked the fear and it was a six hour flight and the worse part was the airports waiting and going through passport etc but when i was on the plane i was fine .wish u all the best

'Ain't gettin' in no plane,fool.'
Try the 'Mr.T's calming balm' for pre-flight jitters. To be applied intraveneously with an accompanying sedative by either Hannibal of Face.

You have a fear of dying a grotesque death. Flying is very safe and hardly anyone is killed by stepping on a plane. You will probably know someone, however, or know someone who knows someone, who has been run over by a car but you won't know anyone that has met their end in an air crash. Happy flying hours. And think of the exotic places you will see. ps the pilot doesn't want to die either, so he'll do all possible to get you and him there.

I was scared of heights, I still am, but I just got on the plane one day and didn't sit by the window. Think happy thoughts and find something to do to keep you busy. Like reading, sleeping, drinking or even eating.

You don't want to frightened of flying, you want to be frightened of crashing. There, problem solved in two seconds.

Go to see a certified counselor that deals with these kinds of phobias. They will help you.

knowing that theres actually more chance of getting knocked down by a bus than crashing in an aeroplane

Are you a bird? Birds are supposed to fly. but if you are really scared, then it's OK to walk your migration route.
By the time you get there, they will be on their way back, so you might as well wait here for them.
That will solve your problem....

Sleep through the whole flight lol.
even better if you're the kind that falls asleep easily.
