Does anyone know what the minimum age is for children to travel?

business class with Emirates airline?
Additional Details
Ok, the child will be accompanied by an adult but the question really is whether or not there is a minimum age requirement for Business Class travel. Does anyone know?

Ashleigh H is spot on, great answer!.

Emirates are pretty good, and have no minimum age restriction as far as I know, although it might not be fair to the infant if they're less than a week old.

Good Choice of Airline, I'm flying Business this week and their service is second to none.

For between a newborn and age 2, the child can fly on your lap, but STILL require to pay for a ticket. Its a common mistake. They pay about 10% of the adult fare if they are not occupying a seat.

If you are comfortable flying with a newborn baby, its not a problem with the airline. But I would suggest to check with your doctor.

A child passenger is 2 - 11 years old. They require to have a seat, and depending on the fare may get a reduced fare, paying about 75% of the adult fare.

There is no minimum age for a child to fly in business or first class.

A child can fly alone, and you can request an Unaccompanied Minor service, where the child passenger would be escorted from aircraft to aircraft and always have an airline employee with them. Usually if a child is flying alone the service is mandatory for between 5 - 12 years old. If a parent insists, if can be arranged for a passenger up to the age of 16 - but ALWAYS check with the specific airline you are travelling with - in your case Emirates.

No age minimum when traveling with an adult. Each airline has their own guidelines on unaccompanied travel. Check their web site.

I've never heard of an airline specifying a minimum age. Up to two years old a child travels free as long as they sit on your lap (they provide an infant seatbelt that loops around yours). After two they're usually full price and get their own seat.

beanco
They can travel at any age as unaccompanied minor's. You will have to pay an adult ticket for them, the will be accompanied by a stewardess throughout the entire journey, you will hand the child over at check in and they will hand the child over on landing to the person you stipulet will be collecting them. This person will have to have valid id, even if a parent.

travel for kids varies depending on the airline, some u.s airlines or even european airlines the child must be 7 days old to be able to travel, but it all depends on the airlines

Do you mean alone? Because if you travel with the child, there is no age requirement. I think children under two can travel for free if you hold them, they don't get a seat. And if they DO get a seat, there is a discount for young children.
If they travel by themselves, i suppose it's whatever age you feel comfortable with. But there is an age requirement, although around ten is fine. ;]

any age....it cost's nothing if you hold the child...check with the airlines to be sure of their policy.....good luck....
