this was one of the first things I thought of as well. the poor guys would've been in cargo. I've been searching for the answer and still haven't found a definite yes or no.

edit: I found this article from the New York Times, hope it answers some questions for you all
http://www.nytimes.com/2009/01/17/nyregion/17scene.html?_r=1

'What seems certain is that there were no live animals in the hold. “We don’t carry pets in our cargo,” said Valerie Wunder, a spokeswoman for US Airways.'

Great minds think alike. That was my first question when I heard all of the passengers were rescued. I've been trying to find out the same thing!

I've been searching online because I was wondering the same thing, but haven't found anything. I sure hope not, and I hope someone will find and post a link with the answer on here!

Animals are my #2 concern, actually i do like animals more than people but depending on the circumstances and in this case. I would like to hear that it was reported that there were no animals on board.

No, They did not report any animals on board.

I was wondering the same thing! It seems at though the answer is no...thank god!

♫Rawr Ryan Rawr♫
it was reported that all passengers lived and that there were no animals on board

I also thought of this immediately after I heard the news. I haven't been able to find that answer anywhere either.
So sad that we even have to look for this info, this is something that should be normally reported. Their lives are precious too.

no but some stupid geese were "aboard" the engines that brought down the plane

I don't think so. There was a small infant and they let the mother and child go first and they both are ok. And the thing is I took a plane out of the same airport last month for Christmas going to North Carolina also. But I was with South West and I was a little nervous but not all that nervous cause I also had an infant with me that was 8 months at the time and I didn't want him to feel that I was nervous and it would of made him feel uncomfortable. But I was going into Raleigh/Durham airport and not Charlotte airport.

This question is absolutely laughable. Who Cares!
