yes. but w/ limitations ,like if you changed your name due to marriage, adoption and so on. other wise you might not catch the flight

For international travel the name must match exactly - that is not to say that they will necessarily notice it but if you get out of the country because they don't notice it and they notice it when you're away you might get stuck somewhere. Domestically they are not usually so strict. The travel agent/airline should be able to get it changed for free if it is such a similar name and obviously a mistake.

Ideally should be identical, but surname MUST match. I was married recently and my wife has not yet had time to have her passport changed. We have booked to go on holiday overseas and her ticket has to be issued in her old name to match the passport.

thats the same name so the answer to your question is yes .. but you will be okay to use that ticket with that passport as long as you look like the guy in the photo. my passport saying Pamela - l*^£"* but some times my tickets say Pam

Faisal
i think yeah it has to match
i mean
im arab so i it has to match u know ..
good luck!

roundater
the first and last names need to match exactly. the middle name can be the full name or an abbreviation.

duoak
No, it must match exactly. It depends on the person who gets it, but these days a lot of the security people will give you a really hard time if the ticket is not in the correct name. The best way to ensure the ticket is in the correct name is to fill out the traveler's profile (in whatever website you use) correctly - many of them even allow you to enter your passport details.

If they dont notice you can get away with it. But if they do, they can refuse to let you board even though they printed the error, you were meant to tell them to correct it earlier. So no you are not allowed to have that mistake
