Don't think of it in literal meaning...
It's only a saying meaning that time moves forward and never ends...Time looks very fast since you're doing something fun...
When you're sleeping didn't it occur to you that you notice, you're
awake...It was just like of you 1 min of sleeping...But not...Because..You're doing something..Sleeping...Your brain rests and does not conduct much memory when in sleep...For having fun...
The time looks like it moves fast..Because you don't notice the clock...Because you're too busy having fun...

Anyways...Let me put another in terms of Science...Time is actually slowing down...How? Because the age of the earth.. about millions to billions of years ago...Corals that scientists discovered from the mariana deep trench, was actually of the same age..The corals represent the time's calculation point..Atomic clocks were representing the true time of earth..While conventional clocks representation of just a normal one...As the atomic clocks represents the true time..Scientists actually beleived that time is slowing down..Millions-Billions of years ago...A year has 443 days...While today only 365-366...Why fast before if had 443 days?
Well...Time before was like 16 hrs a day...Meaning it will be fast rotating..But the revolving period of the earth at the sun will be the same..If the earth reveolves once..There will be 443 days..That's was years ago...But did you ever wondered why there was a leap year?
