Drug related question... Security in Airports? |
I'll be travelling through Detroit MI Airport, London Ontario (tiny little airport.. Though international), and Austin Bergstrom. I've been using the same purse for about 6 months and there is a chance that at one point 2 or more months back it may have had marajuana in it (not sooner than 2 months ago though). It is clean and there is no traces of drug on it or in it, and I cannot smell anything on it. Also, at parties and stuff I usually have it when there is pot smoke around. If I bring this with me, and there are drug dogs at the airport, will they catch it? And also, can I get in trouble for anything if it only smells like that and doesnt have any traces in it? Its not like I ever had loose drugs in it (Maybe in a case or something), but its possible there may be a trace amount..... Not sure what to do, I don't really want to have to buy a new bag for the trip, but its also expensive and I don't want it confiscated... |

The dog WILL absoulutely detect it. He will give the signal to the handler and you will go through the embarasment of having your things searched. They may look through it in public, right on the spot, or they may take you to the back for questioning. Either way, it's not what you want to have happen. It's quite likely you'll miss your flight. You should err on the save side and make all efforts to go through "clean". |

use a new purse.drug dogs can register smells in parts per million-incredibly minute amounts,and these last for months.better safe than strip-searched!!!get a new purse!!!! |

They are not going to send you to dogs unless you act like a freak. Relax, do you really think you are the only one going through the airport who smokes regularly? |

go wild and buy a new purse just in case. they are allowed to stop you flying if they suspect you have drugs or do drugs. they wont want you in their country or state or w/e. its most likely that they wont even check. but you may as well be sure. |

May cause some hassle if the dogs smell it but ya can't get into trouble even money has trace amount of cocaine on it.Another thing stay off and away from weed I think paranoia is all ready setting in. |
