Go to the tsa.gov site, under "for travelers" and make sure your carry on is packed correctly (like the 3 oz. bottles in a little zip-lock bag. Get there extra early too...sometimes the check-in can be slow, they make you take off shoes, and sometimes pull you over and thoroughly check your bag. If 1st time, the take-off and landing may get you nervous. Personally, I think they're fun.

Make sure you have your ID with you. You will be asked if your luggage has been with you since you have been in the airport. You will have to remove any metal objects to walk through a scanning device. You may be asked to take off your shoes to check for objects that may be in your shoes. When you are in the air just so you don't get scarred you may hit what they call air pockets. This is a scarry feeling especially if it is your first flight. It is like driving on a rough road in a car. It will cause the plane to go up and down slightly and swerve side to side somewhat. This is normal though, so don't be scarred. |

Along with the tips above, be sure to check out the Transportation Safety Administration's website. It has lots of great travel tips. It tells you what you'll need to do at security checkpoints. It even tells you how long you usually have to wait in line at each airport at any given time of day. Here's the link: http://www.tsa.gov/travelers/index.shtm |

Your ears will pop so bring gum and chew it like your eating a tough steak!
It will be quite loud so either bring ear plugs or just be prepared.
It will move at a decent rate and then when it starts to take off, it'll speed up like a drag race car =
And look at the window once in a while so you can get used to it. It's scary but fun.
I like to drink an energy drink and hype myself up first. When you get your adreneline rushing it's more fun.
Take a stress ball or something too. You'll want something to squeeze hard while you're taking off. I grabbed someone's hand once and he was mad =( |

Carry as little as possible with you. It makes it SO much easier to go through security, get on and off the plane and walk through the airport. Check all other bags when you check-in.
If you must carry liquids with you, they must all be less than 3 ounces and labeled. Also, they must all fit within one two-quart clear plastic zip-lock bag. You must take this zip-lock bag out of your other bag and send it through the scanner alongside your other items.
You can check the TSA website at http://www.tsa.org for a list of items that are allowed and items that are not allowed through security. |

There's no reason to panic. I have been on an aircraft alot, and my father travels quite frequently. The main check-points are:
> Check-In, Atleast 1 hour before your flight. (This is where you put your baggage and the passport stuff)
> Hand Carry item's check, Such as a purse or wallet or anything that you may carry.
> Tickets. This is where you board the aircraft, you should keep your ticket and passport ready.
Make sure you check how much weight you are allowed to carry on board the aircraft (Hand carry items) and also the bags that you want to go into the cargo.
And when i grow up, i'm aiming to be a pilot because it's what i wanted to do ever since i was born, and i hope that you can be one of my passengers =)
That's all! Have a good Trip! |

Honestly.. there really is nothing to be worried about.
The only thing I'd say you should prepare for is boredom.
