First time flying, anything that would be good to know?

Well my first time ever was back in January. It all depends on when your flight is and what day it is since it might or might not be busy.It was fun but scary. However you do need to be there early through since you have to get through all those lines that you have to go through. Bring something to do while on the plane and have patience and I think you will be fine. Also looked at the maps of all the airports that you needed to go through before hand so that you will not get lost (I ended up getting lost anyway at the orlando airport through). Also look at signs too. Other than that just enjoy your flight. :)

bring chewing gum, because since your in high altitude your ears tend to pop. by chewing gum it wont happen

if u live far away obviously u are gonna have to wake up real early because first u have to get ready, get ur bags, drive there which will include traffic time, getting ur bag checked in going through security and making it there on time when u go on the airplane that's different thing there are some pros and cons but it depends on the person itself for me i always bring gum chew it when ur ears starts to hurt the smell it gets me very dizzy i suggest u to sleep during or almost for the whole plane trip but the good thing is that u get a lot of sleep time in case ur sleepy and u get a free drink :)

The timing really depends on the airport...if it's a large or international airport you might need to be there a while in advance. It also may depend on the time/date you're flying.

Yes, you do need to get there 2 hours before. Everything takes time..they check tickets, take luggage, board, etc. Sometimes they can have a delay which would be longer than the 2 hours but that is just part of the process of flying.

Bring copies of your passport.

Yes it is necessary to be there atleast an hour before your departure because security lineups can take a very long time. I have actually missed a flight once because of a 2 hour long security line up.

Only buy food from the airport. You cant bring outside foods or liquids on the plane with you.

No liquids over 2oz (not bought from airport)

Bring a bottle of water and a sandwich on with you.

Bring a book.

Bring music.

Get up and walk around during your flight atleast once to get the blood flowing in your arms and legs.

Bring a pilow with you, mp3 player if possible, depending on how long the flight is you can take a nap or watch a movie, bring some cash with you for the food (in case you want to eat while flying) nowadays some airlines charge for that, be there 2hrs before, just to be safe you dont want to go to the airport and find a Queue of 200 people checking in for the same airline. Go to the bathroom before flying, usually airplane restrooms are smelly. Bring your immigration documents and remember to fill up the immigration form that will be requiered at the entrance of that country before landing so you can save some time. Other than that I think you should be fine. Happy traveling.

plane goes really high up, and take off is crazy sick, but first time is kinda nerve racking. And expect a weird dropping sensation when you ascend after take off, its really short but its there lol

Depending on where you are flying from, you might need more than two hours. Last time I flew from Boston, I was like 4 hours early, and it took about two hours just to get through screening, not to mention the lines at the ticket counter.

Planes will take off without you, so show up early.
