Quantas is good. Not B.A. at present. They are losing more luggage than any other airline in the world. 200 passengers three days ago went to Beijing and all their luggage is mising ! Great airline, great staff, great entertainment on line but do you want to lose your baggage !

Cathay Pacific, and stop over in Hongkong, you'll love it.

a) Singapore Airlines
b) Thai Airlines
c) Cathay Pacific Airways

I would suggest a stopover, it just makes your trip more pleasurable.

We flew with Singapore Airlines and I would totally recommend them to anyone, economy class is great even if you have long legs there is plenty of room, as soon as you board they give you a hot flannel to wipe your hands and face with, then after take off you are given a drink of your choice and a pack of peanuts, you get travel socks and toothbrush and toothpaste, a pillow and blanket and headphones, all free of charge, you are allowed to have as many alcoholic drinks as you want during the flight as its all part and parcel of the ticket price, the meals are lovely too and you can just have a snack as and when you want one at no extra cost, they even bring free newspapers round for you to read, the staff on those planes can't do enough for you, everyone, regardless of which class your travelling in is treat like a king or queen, in the loos there are razors for men so they can shave before landing, aftershaves too, for ladies there is moisturiser, perfume, talc and combs, fabulous flight and well worth travelling with them.

Emirates, British Airways, Thai Airways, Malaysia Airlines, Cathay Pacific, Singapore Airlines...they are all good.

if your stuck in choice about airlines go to http://www.airlinequality.com

thats ran by skytrax, the official world organization for air travel reviews.....its all there, airports as well.

it can take from 22 hours all the way up to 30 hours doing the long trip so a good airline with a reasonable amount of service is reccomended.

Edit: Be careful if flying Qantas. Their international service of late has been very unconsistant...some great flights and some nightmares.....be careful with qantas....otherwise they are a great airline....and remember, im an aussie so im not scared to speak against our own product.

Singapore Airlines is the best airline to Australia- they're very courteous, and have great food and service. I'd recommend them first. After that, I'd say either Cathay Pacific or British Airways.

Qantas of course

Ethidad Airways
Dublin-Abu Dahbi-Sydney or Brisbane

less stops.

I'd recommend British Airways and Qantas.. both have good long-haul services...
Check out trailfinders.ie ... They can book you a through-ticket so that your luggage can be interlined the whole way...

You could fly from Dublin to London and on to Sydney with BA or Qantas - i think its a codeshare flight... (Aer Lingus operate the DUB-LHR sector.)

Alternatively you could fly from Dublin to Frankfurt with Aer Lingus and on to Sydney with Qantas...

Or from Dublin to Los Angeles with Aer Lingus and then Los Angeles to Sydney with Qantas...

I've also heard that Emirates are amazing to fly with. You could fly from Dublin to Dubai with Aer Lingus and then Dubai to Perth/Sydney with Emirates...

Remember, if you book your tickets separately on two individual bookings then your luggage cannot be interlined straight through from Dublin to Australia and you'll need to recheck it again in London etc. You must book a conjunction ticket in order for the bags to be interlined on separate airlines...
