Just ask a flight attendant to assist you, or better yet ask at the check in desk and see what either of those staff can do for you. I'm sure they'd help you out in this situation. |

with open seating, if you can't find 2 empty seats together, usually one of the flight crew will ask for a volunteer to move, and offer them a free drink, etc for their trouble- or someone may just offer to move out of courtesy. I wouldn't worry about it. I have seen the flight crew do this when 2 adults wanted to sit together, so be sure they will be accomodating when a child is involved. |

If you are flying with an airline that does not allocate seats make sure you get to the departure gate early and stand by the boarding door, then you should be one of the first to board and be able to choose your seats. Have a word with the gate staff as well, I'm sure they will help as no one wants a lone scared child sitting next to them and the cabin crew would rather not waste time tryng to get people to swap seats as this just delays the flight. Good luck. |

I fly a lot on my own and I see that the problem seems to arise often, however, I'll often swap seats so that people can sit together, as long as you ask politely its never a problem, so just get on and ask someone if you can swap so that you can sit with your child. |

Ask at check in if you could get priority boarding or pre-book your seats.
If this doesnt work, when you get to your gate (in plenty of time of course!!) ask the flight attendants if you could sit with your child.
This really shouldnt be a problem. People always accomadate parents and their children. |

Hi when you go to the departure gate just make sure you are one of the first in the que, you should not have a problem i frequently fly to Dublin and this is always what happens with the aircraft that i fly with. But please be aware, not everyone is like you and sometimes it's a free for all. That's why it's better to be near the front of the que. |

They usually let old people and injured people on first. Then Children with parents. Unless the entire crowd has children you will be fine. I have done that sort of flight several times. Also, (just to make you laugh) the old ladies with cains.... they ran down the halls to get the best seats. As long as you don't have very fit grandmas... you should be fine! and if that doesn't work, and you are sitting down but no seat empty beside you. Stand up (be courageous) and ask the entire plane if there were 2 empty seats where you and your child could sit together. Usually there is someone flying alone that will trade. |

Most of the time airlines will let you pick your seats when you arrive at the airport to check in. If not board the plane like normal and ask the person sitting next to your child to switch seats, most of the time they could careless where they sit and will happily switch seats with you. So in the end you will be able to sit by your child! Don't worry you will get to sit by your child one way or another!! I do it all the time :) |

Depends on their age. Under 13, I'd simply insist they find us two together and that's it.
politely and firmly does it. |

depends how old the child is because if the are small then they will sit on your lap and not be given a sit of thier own .
check with the airline |

When you book in the airport they will give you a seat together, make sure you are there 2 hours before your flight |

HI!!
|
They give you a letter a b or c or just a and b to go with groups to get on the plane, so it isnt so packed. You can ask the person by the gate that is suppervising, and ask her if you can go with the first group so you can make sure you get a seat with your kid!! |

When you are traveling with childrens they let you aboard first. No matter how many kids you have with you. If you are traveling with southwest that what they do, they let people with kids and people with special need to aboard first. |
