Getting on a plane drunk?

are you allowed to get on a plane if you are visibly/obviously intoxicated? (to reduce your anxiety)

Ok,,, We do have the right to refuse or kick out a person who is clearly intoxicated out of their minds.... Altho, personally. I classify drunk people into two forms...

There's the...

"I'm so freakin drunk, I jes wanna pass out" type of drunk head... Those people are cool and I don't mind them in my plane....

But if youre the...

"I'm so freakin drunk, I need to express my drunkness by being beligerent." Then I would likely call the authorities and have you arrested. And they're no TSA's either,,, County cops'll book you and make sure you wont have a very nice day.

So, the thing is that you can be drunk,,, Just don't do drunk stuff when you're in a plane. We take things very serious now a days.

Have a great day and god bless.

Don't try it.
Airline employees are trained in this area.
It just takes them to call for a Manager to the ticket counter or gate and we take it from there.
The last thing we want is a drunk passenger trapped on an a/c at 39,000 ft. where the crew now has to deal with you.

Think about it..most bad things that happen on board are because some one had to much to drink and did something stupid that gets them arrested..

They are within their rights to refuse you boarding--and probably will.

The peopl that get booted are usually the ones that are obvious and causing trouble.

As other answers have said...If you are visibly drunk and can't control your behavior...a flight attendant is likely to notice. If that happens there is a good chance you could be prohibited from boarding.

But, let's get to the root of this. Heavy alcohol consumption and air travel don't go together very well. You are much more likely to become dehydrated and feel really bad by the time you reach your destination. One or two drinks to take the edge off of nerves is one thing...but, having enough that you would look visibly intoxicated is another. If you are that nervous about flying, maybe you should deal with it another way. There are anti-anxiety drugs that you can take the day of travel and meditative exercises that you can try.

Good luck and happy travels.

As a former airline employee I can definitely say that if you are obviously intoxicated then you will not be flying on that flight. I have seen some upset passengers who found this out too late.

If the airline agent see that you may be intoxicated they will deny you boarding for your flight and anyother flights for the rest of the day unless you sober up. This is for the safety and comfort of yourself and passengers around you.

they can and probably will stop you from boarding

If you don't let them know by acting like a fool, you shouldn't have anything to worry about.

dddddd
not if they know you are drunk
