yes, i have had that happen

but the worst thing was when i was sitting between two people who were talking to each other, and they didnt even know each other, and i wanted to sleep, so i offered to trade places with either of them, and they both said no, but then they kept talking to each other, what a couple of jerks

Yes, it has happened to me. Now I take headphones and a book. I put them on immediately and listen to music while I read or sleep. This keeps people from talking to me. Unless, of course, the person is kind of cute. :)

I used to travel on an almost weekly basis. Most people are nice and respectful of others. But, every now and then you run into someone who isn't. I carried noise cancelling headphones with me along with an MP3 or portable DVD player. Sometimes I wanted to watch a movie and sometimes I just wanted some quiet while reading a book. They did the trick. Carry a pair with you. They don't have to be the noise-canceling variety to help get the point across.

Heh that's, unfortunantly, a common problem in-flight.

I travel quite often, and have a legion of bad travel stories of annoying people.

I've had food and drinks spilled on me, a kid puke on me, a large number of drunk seatmates before the airlines started cracking down several years ago, people blasting their headphones at ful blast, people practically screaming into phones, people harrasing flight attendents, and of course, the hardcore gabbering folk.

I have told people to leave me alone, mostly diplomatically. Usually I just tell them I'm going to take a nap (which I often do anyways), or watch a movie. I use flight time to catch up on movies, books, music etc, so these days, the verbal element is much more subdued than the old days.

yup there was this man that was sleeping on my shoulder and i got him off 5 minuts later back on my shoulder this kept on happning

If you've ever been on a plane, you've probably had that experience. The funny thing is, when I fly, I have an ear condition that makes it very hard for me to hear.

i sat by this bum that had a cut on hi sarm and started whipping his blood on the pillow next to me. he probably hadn't brushed his teeth since he was 5 and he liked lying to me. he owned usc had a korean rock band and others etc etc. it wasnt fun i was eventually moved after about an hour when he called the whole plane nazis and wanted to land because he couldn't get any alcohol.
