OMG! Poor you, you should be with family or friends instead of in an airport. If you have to travel that day you will be pleasently surprised at the low crowds and reasonable rates you can get on a holiday. Try www.wiitravel.com or www.findvacationsonline.com for the best rates.

It's never light around the holidays. There are usually people delayed from the day before and so on.

i was travelling on british airways a few yrs ago. at midnight, the captain came out of the cockpit dressed as santa claus and gave out prezzies to all the kids. it was so cute. he was super skinny. the plane was full but the airport was not crowded or anything.. it was as usual, if not less crowded.

I have traveled on Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve, and Christmas day, and all three are terrible. Christmas day was a little better than Christmas Eve, but so many airport employees take the day off so every line is slow. It took me 3 hours to check in and get through security, then my bags were on a later flight.

It is lighter than any other day during the Season. Also make sure you check with your airline if the flight is going to be on time and also check the weather....

Before you leave home call the airline, that might help you lots!

Good luck.

Coolio A
not on x-mas day...but yes, before and after x-mas, it is very crowded. NEVER LIGHT.

I flew on Christmas Eve last year, from London to Los Angeles. It seemed pretty much the same as the other times I make that journey. :)
