They're ok.Depends where you are flying from.Plane types to avoid are Boeing 757 - cramped 3+3 seating,no personal tv and only one aisle to walk about so can get busy when the trolley is doing the rounds..Boeing 767 - slightly more comfy than the 757,two aisles to stretch your legs but again no personal tv...which on a long flight does help take boredom away..Which leaves the Continental Boeing 777 - better aircraft inside and you do get your own TV to choose what you want to watch.Next time try and go on US Airways or Northwest (assuming you are going transatlantic) because they use Airbus 333 planes, these have the best choice tv etc to choose from and the have games to play as well.Sorry this reply is a bit long-winded but I hope it helps you a little ;-)

Can't agree with the people slagging them off. Although the film was rubbish, all in-flight films are rubbish.

They were ok. Not excellent, not terrible, but comfortable, and i got to New Jersey in one piece.

they are OK, you get what you pay, the in flight movie sucks...if you can get your headphones to work...but they do come round every hour or less offering refreshments, which is good to start off with.....then they get freaking annoying!!! Happy flying!!

assassin
reasonable but not great

They are a tad continental, croissants and garlic for breakfast, but you needn't worry about that if you''re flying economy.

used them last year to go to texas and using them again this year to go to seattle. whilst they are not the best, cheapest or even have good legroom (which they dont) they are as good as most and better than some airlines. I use them because they go where I want and at at time I want from my local airport (Edinburgh)
have a good trip but dont get excited about detroit airport it was as dull as dishwater when I stopped there 4 years ago.

Oh dear, they invented the term "cattle class".

It won't be good, see it as a learning experience.

when you get back let us know how they were, i'd hate to slag them off for ever just because of my expereicnes...in case they have improved.

My husband and I only fly Continental. Continental business class is considered the best in the U.S. I have also flown on economy, and it has been the best as compared to other airlines. My husband flew Delta business class recently, and he almost wanted to kill himself. He said that even Continental economy was better than Delta business.

I just recently flown with continental and it wasn't bad. The shows sucked, and the tv was a little annoying to watch becauseit was right over my head and I had to lift my head up to really watch, but other than that it was fine. Im flying back to florida in Dec and I picked jetblue this time.

They're ok, and that's about it. Marginally better than American! Check in early and try for an exit row.....I know it's the oldest trick about but it works. A top tip if the exit row is already full is to ask for the row immediately in front of the exit row.....that way you can recline your seat right back without upsetting the folks behind!
Food should be ok so long as you're not too fussy.
Sit back, don't worry if you're a bit uncomfortable....you'll get there! I highly recommend earplugs for any long flight.

Have fun!
