Singapore Airlines is a fantastic airline -- my family lives in Singapore, so I've flown with SIA numerous times, and always actually look FORWARD to the flight. (Imagine! And it's 18 hours spent in coach!)

You'll find that the cabin crew are super competent and friendly, the food is actually edible, and the in-flight entertainment is top-notch (movies that are still in theaters, for instance, tons of channels, and the ability to start it on demand, rather than waiting for a movie to end so you can catch it from the beginning.) You'll also notice that you get a few amenities you don't often get on many other airlines: amenity kits when you board, hot towels after takeoff and before landing, and even ice cream passed out as a snack during mid-flight!

You'll also be pleased to know the SIA is one of only five 5-star carriers, so it's right up there at the top of the pile (in fact, many people swear it's the best airline in the world. I'd actually agree.)

It's one of the best airlines in the world actually. I've only flown them once and the service was extremely professional and the food and the whole atmosphere was just awesome. I loved it and would fly them again.

yes singapore airlines is a very good airline the flight attendants are great, the meals are delicious and the in flight entertainment called krisworld has lots of movies and games well one problem SQ is a very expensive airline but in the end you get what you pay for

I will fly SIA for the first time in August from San Francisco to Singapore to Kuala Lumpur. It is interesting that my flight from Singapore to Kuala Lumpur is only about 35 minutes but Singapore Airlines said they are serving me a meal. Yet on my flight from Cincinnati to San Francisco on Delta, it will be a 5 hour flight and there will only be an option to purchase food. I know it is a good airline as it almost always is rated #1 for in-flight service. My friends have flown SIA and my parents have flown SIA. They really enjoyed the experience. You will as well. They have great in-flight entertainment as well; lots of movies and video games to keep you occupied. After you fly Singapore Airlines, it will be hard to fly another airline.

No I haven't , but am planning so some time in 2012-2013 ( yeah I know its far away,, heh heh) From all the videos I've watched it looks like the best airline out there.

You should try the SIN-SYD or SIN-LON Route in the A380 Suites ( if you can afford it! )

I used Singapore Airlines from NewarK Airport to Amsterdam.
They were absolutely wonderful, first class service.
I still remember the hot towels to clean your hands after dinner.

This is a nice airline. The flight attendants are really pretty too!! The service is great.

No, I haven't. But I have heard that it is one of the top rated airlines in the world as far as comfort, in-flight meal, and in-flight entertainment. From what I have seen in ads, some of their seats even turn into beds, and passengers even have their own 25" flat screen HDTV! WOW! Thais may be only for business or "first class" passengers, though. Still, it is very highly rated for everyone.
