Have not gone on a plane in a while and I am so nervous..?

Everything is going to be fine. According to studies, air travel is much safer than car travel. I am a frequent flyer, and I never get scared. Just don't focus on the bad things about flying, just on the good. Read a good book, or listen to music. If you are really scared, put headphones on while the flight attendants are doing the safety briefing. You won't worry, and close the window shade.

read a magazine, watch the TV onboard (if your airlines have one) or just talk with the person next to you

Why are you so nervous about it? The only thing you could be nervous about is when you have to get through the security thingies... it is the most tiring thing about the whole flight. -.-

Flying is not as dangerous as some other vehicles... media just wants to scare us because then we listen...

You don't need to be afraid of anything. You could listen to the music they have on the plane (if they give it to you that early) and what I always do when I am on the plane is: reading the security information. :P Lol Because it tells me what kind of plane I am in and what I have to do when there is danger and what is allowed and what is not allowed and so on.
I don't know though if that helps, when you are afraid of flying... Sorry. I can't remember to have been afraid of flying anytime...

But you said that you have been flying before... so you know that it is not dangerous. No big deal. Just relax and read the magazines in the seat in front of you and observe other people or start talking to your neighbor or whatever. ^ ^

And if you can't stand sitting in a seat for 4 hours without having moved your feet... then just do some kind of movements with your feet, so they don't get cold or fall asleep. xD It is relaxing, too, I think. Or take a walk to the restroom or something. xD

Chewing-gum helps against the weird feeling in your ears you might get (though it doesn't help me) or yawning (that does it for me xD).

I get nervous all the time and get panic attacks plus i havn't been aborad before because of my mum having a blood clot a few years ago x But i dunno maybe get a good book or dvd player to watch just keep your mind active and i bet once your on you will love it again! I dunno how old you are but it doesnt matter anyways but get/borrow a Nintendo DS! My nan has one and she took hers on holiday!!

you are worse than i am, but not by much. i would rather stay off of planes too. If you are really that freaked out get a dr. to give u some meds to take pre-flight. You'll relax and sleep all the way.

Do you know a song that really calms you? Like maybe a lullaby your mom used to sing? If so, try humming it as the plane takes off, it should relax you. Or try listening to your iPod (ignore the stewardess). Try to be prepared to be as comfortable as possible

chew gum, read jokes, think ot scary things like a movie instead of the plane lifting off,waht ever u do , dont think of the plane crashing , and killing u on impact... lol jk
