Aircrew know how to handle everything from turbulence to terrorists, stop worrying. The odds are millions to one against you having a fatal accident - you're at far greater risk on the motorways and really stupid if you do the fairground rides often or walk out alone at night.

cubalishus
No, it took me until I was 48 to even get on a plane and now I've done it there is no way I am going to stop, just come back from Australia and the turbulence was really bad at one point, your safer in the air than on the road, don't stop having fun visiting different countries because of a bit of turbulence, get back on a plane and have some fun.

ride it pal no worries safest form of transport there is and it's a long walk to Spain

viporlandovillas
No. I have experienced some terrible turbulence and was quite worried at the time I admit, but at the end of the day I think to myself "What in the World am I going to miss out on for the sake of a bumpy flight".

I worry more about being on a motorway nowadays.

The only problem that I've ever had was after I got my student pilot licence. It was hard to sit in the back and sit whilst someone else was driving the bus. I've been in the back of a cargo plane and watched a 500 lb bulldozer blade move. The old saw flying really is the safest way to travel is true. I work in the aviation industry and you don't want to know the things that you don't know, be happy have a drink and enjoy the trip

nottashygirl
I wouldn't let a little turbulence scare you from flying. It's normal, and so feeling like your life was about to end is maybe a little drastic. If you are afraid, ask your Dr. to prescribe something like Xanax for you next time. My mom was afraid for fly for 40 years, and now she does it a couple of times a year with no problem.

I love flying, the turbulence just makes it more fun, nothing really ever comes of it, just enjoy it, the lightning must have looked awesome from up there, so jealous!

I love to fly.
