Have you ever flown on united airlines?

Yes, and there is a reason why employees of United say "Un-tied airlines."

I've flown on them many of times. They are not the greatest airline, but then again, what airline is? The staff is not really that friendly as they have been battered by their employers with pay cuts and strikes. They charge for everything except for reading the signs. I'm sure a sign reading charge is down the pipe. Their planes aren't that new. They did retire a lot of their 737's, but they still have some old 737's, 757's, and a few older model Airbus A320s and 319's.

Yes from Chicago to Orlando and Orlando to Denver in First Class. It was a very average experience.

Whenever i fly to the USA, I try to do as much flying as i can on Air Canada, and if I have to, United in First class, just because they're a Star Alliance member. Coach scares me to death on United. It's horrible!

Ugh yes. I hate United Airlines. I actually flew with them Summer of 08 from SFO to Phoenix to Atlanta. First of all, they make a lot of sudden changes. We about to land in Phoenix when the captain announced that if you were continuing to Atlanta, it wouldn't be on that same flight. See, we were told that the flight to Atlanta would be on the same plane. The captain literally told us when we were on the runway. And it was in like a whole different section of the airport. And the flight was boarding when we got off. So we almost missed our second flight because of that sudden change. Most airlines don't give out big snacks. Untied gave you one drink for one entire flight. And the flight to ATL was around 6 hours long. I suggest you don't fly with them.

Yes and they are the only airline I will never fly again. I fly, on average, almost 100 round-trip flights a year, and have flown almost every major commercial airline worldwide. None have screwed up as much as United. The last 3 times I've flown United, they have lost my luggage each time for no reason and in one case returned it damaged. No other airline has ever lost or damaged my luggage. They've canceled several flights for reasons that are their fault (like they don't have a plane or crew, or mechanical problems). No other airline has ever done this in my experience. I've seen overflowing toilets, vomit in the seat pocket in front of me, and other unsanitary conditions on United Airlines aircraft - again, nothing like this on any other airline. I've also never encountered a friendly United Airlines employee.

I understand that some airlines are better than others - I have certain airlines that I prefer over other ones - but United is the only airline I've flown that's downright terrible.

I have flown them many times since my family and I all have frequent flier accounts with them. The service is about average. It really depends on the flight crew you have on the flight. As with many US airlines, one flight crew for your first flight might be really courteous but the another flight crew for the same airline may give you horrible service.

I flew with United from Cincinnati to Boston with a connection in Chicago. 2 years ago I flew with United from Cincinnati to Raleigh/Durham with a connection in Chicago. The problem with United is that their headquarters is in Chicago and O'Hare schedules more take-offs and landings than they can handle. Therefore there are delays. Every time we fly United, we are pushed out of the gate on-time. Then we sit on the tarmac because O'Hare is too busy. We end up waiting about 15-20 minutes on the tarmac before we take-off.

My friends fly United to Hong Kong every year. They say the service isn't that great either. The food is not hot when served and the airline does not give out the hot towels.

United as with all the other major airlines are still losing money so they are trying to cut on things that they can get away with and charging passengers for whatever they can such as for checked in luggage.

I have and haven't had many problems with them except for the check in line. I just always check in on united.com.

Though just like every US airline the onboard service should include a meal at the apropriate times.
