Once left us in our plane sitting on the runway at Heathrow for almost four hours - because of a problem with the plane -they couldn't tell us what the problem was, nor let us off the plane, nor provide us with anything to eat.
Other than that they've been ok!
Luftanhsa lost my luggage.....never to be seen again!

This TIme Im Going Long Haul Heathrow-JFK & Back.
A Friend Of Ours Recently Went Away & There Luggage Got Lost But 2 Days Later They Got Their Luggage Back.

oh yes, they're priceless.
was dumped once at midight at manchester (flight was supposed to be glasgow to birmingham)
crew told us to go to the BA information desk.
info desk didn't even know we were there.
grilled them for a minute about how we were getting to birmingham, they asked "how should i know?"

i suggested, volubly, they were an INFORMATION DESK!!!!!

once they us sitting in plane on heathrow for 2 hours cuz they had loaded a whole container of luggage of another plane..
but never lost luggage..been flying with them alot

All the time! Hopefully, now that you have been twice bitten, you will not fly with them again, ever. Their ground staff are the pits. Sometime I wonder if they were trained in Himmler's charm school.

BA are the worst of all major airlines of losing luggage.

Oh yes... They once sent me to Mexico but decided my luggage could wait FOUR DAYS to join me. They just left it sitting in Heathrow and failed to put it on another flight for a few days. (So much for heightened security...) It took about six months, several phone calls, and a strongly worded letter to get compensation, but once I finally spoke to a nice, thinking person everything was taken care of.

The "Customer Service" people, for the most part, could do with some training. Only a few seem to know what the real meaning of customer service is.

Not my favorite airline, but unfortunately for the places that I fly to, one of the only ones that goes non-stop so I end up on them anyway.

I was out of heathrow to Mauritius, and were in the waiting lounge for 4 hours before being told what the problem was.
Did not loose any luggage, But I did on air Mauritius,and got a payment in lieu, about US 25.00 per Kg, but that amount did not cover my loss

I've flown many times with them. I've had one cancelled flight, but a few years ago my wife flew home to see her dying mother, but she was too late. My wife was then upgraded by BA. She got personal attention from all the cabin crew, even the captain. I take my hat off to them. Words can not express my thanks enough. On landing she was given red carpet treatment.
I flew with BA last week. It was a great flight.
