Oh you bet. The first day I got to the UK it took everything I had to stay awake until 9:30 pm. For the next several days I was awake until 2:00 am and couldn't get up before 11.

Due to a heart condition I have to take beta blockers, which is pretty much like being jet lagged without the worry and expense of travel. lol

Yes. The answer is to keep moving and behave as though one had woken up in the country of arrival and gone through a normal day, i.e. to behave consistently with the time it is there. I got off a flight from Australia and went straight to work in London once: I felt like a zombie, but everyone assured me that I was doing the right thing. I have discovered two wonderful things to help: flight socks (which we should all wear, they're wonderful) and, if at all possible, a good swim at the other end. You emerge feeling great!

Yes - last January coming back from New Zealand without doing any stopovers. We've always stopped a couple of times before and I would recommend it; to make matters worse, husband suffered a couple of small strokes shortly after arriving back home in the UK, probably due to a blood clot.
Made worse, too, by the fact that we coming from summer into winter, so from long days to long nights.

sparkey
yes when i came back from the dominican republic in may

charis
flown between the UK and the states many times but only suffered badly 1 yr. Couldnt sleep properly for about 2 weeks. Was up til 6am for weeks cos of the time difference!

Johnny
Nope

Doomass
Nope, the most time difference I have been in is 1 hour.

But I am going to California in 2 months and I am dreading the Jet Lag, which is an 11 hour flight PLUS 8 hours time difference!

Yes when I went to Australia. I had it for about 2 weeks and it was awful. I kept falling asleep at about 6pm and waking up a 2am.
