Have you noticed Southwest Airlines planes to be dirty?

I think you're somewhat right. These planes don't get too much of a chance to be "deep cleaned". Planes only make money when they're flying, though, so the airlines don't want to spend too much time in between flights cleaning the plane.

Yes, I have noticed their airplanes are dirty. The airlines as a whole scrimp where they can and deep cleaning of their jets is one of the ways of saving much needed cash.

When I went to visit my friends in Washington on Southwest, I noticed the plane smelled pretty bad. I was sitting way in the back. I ate the food which was (Ehhh) okay. The flight attendant looked pretty frazzled and as we were going through turbulence, I noticed a wad of gum stuck on the window.

It was pretty gross.

When I transferred to a different plane, the Alaskan Airlines, it was pretty clean. They served drinks in these nice martini glasses and the stewardess (flight attendant) was much more cordial. I also got some of these corn chips made in Santa Cruz, which tasted very delicious.

United and American airlines is fairly decent because they have first class seats.

Southwest Airlines is more like a flying greyhound bus that makes pits stops to Las Vegas every now and then, so if you want first class, I'd take United, American, or a private jet instead.

It has gone downhill in terms of cleanliness. However Southwest is one of the worst as far as dirty planes. I fly USAirways or American Airlines most of the time and their planes are far nicer.

The only airline that's worse than Southwest, however, is United. The last time I fly United, the toilet in the bathroom had overflowed (and that was quite literally the LEAST disgusting thing I saw on the plane).

i noticed that too but the windows arnt the only thing thats dirty. the seatbelt light had just barely went off and i took my son to the restroom. it was so disgusting he didnt even want to use it. that shows how much they value their customers.

who cares if the planes are dirty on the outside ??????? Southwest has never lost a plane, i think thats a bit more important then a little dirt on the windows.
