relax, watch people around you and you will notice how just about everyone is calm. people who fly a lot don't think about crashing because it doesn't happen often.

its not bad unless you have motion sickness. all it is is you go really fast on the runway and your head goes back a little bit and you pull up a lot. and then your ears pop (thats a little annoying) and then you wait a long time and then you land. i think the take off and landing is actually kinda fun!

duushbagel2
safer than traveling in a car. if someone tries to hijack with a boxcutter, please just beat them up and save some trouble.

well it can make u weezy and throw up
and it feels kind of crowded
nd like your off balance whn you walk
nd you cant sleep so well sometimes
but its kinda fun

remember that you are significantly more likely to be hurt or killed walking down the sidewalk than you are on an airplane. true fact!

Joseph C
It's fun, except "turbulence" or flying into windy conditions could be a little uncomfortable. Sit by the window.

Dani R
First of all: If you even suspect that you might get scared enough to throw up, watch what you eat before you fly. Maybe crackers and Ginger Ale or something. There is a bag for you to throw up in if you need to!
Actually listen to all the different emergency procedures.
Flying really isn't bad. I've done it many times. During take off and landing your ears will more than likely pop quite a few times. While the plane is level in the air it might 'hit' tiny bumps. No big deal... just turbulence.
Unless you are in first/business class the chair will not be the biggest thing in the world so don't expect to have a lot of space.
Really flying is pretty bland. Looking out the window can be very interesting though! The whole thing makes me tired. Good luck! Have fun on your trips!

Enjoy the ride, sit by a window and just relax. You will have a great time. And, tell the Flight Attendants you are a first timer and they will take special care of you. It's true.

You wont take off until the plane is in perfect condition and no mechanical problems are detected. It's windy here in Chicago, check your flight information before you go to the airport. The plane ride will be bumpy from turbulence, but it's not anything to worry about. Bring candy to suck on and swallow as you ascend and descend to prevent your ears from hurting. If you have a head cold, take a decongestant about twenty minutes before you get on the plane. Bring a book and a small pillow. Don't worry! Everything will be fine!

I've flown so many times. It's no big deal at all. The only thing that makes me uncomfortable on planes is that my ears hurt. Everything else is fine. Good luck that will be a fun flight. Orlando is fun. ☻

Flying isnt that bad :)

I've been travelling my whole life. The first time i flew i was 3 months old.

Bring a book or something to occupy yourself. :) iPod, etc.

And dont forget to bring some chewing gum or something, coz ur ears tend to 'pop' when u land lol :)

Hope this helped :)

Peace.
Just take a nap, or just think of the good times you've had. Every thing will be ok. I have flyed Ohmaha to Chicago before. It's only nad hour long.

Ladybird
Flying is not as bad as you might think and I guess your fligths aren't very long so just try to relax. Take hard boiled sweets so your ears don't pop!
Have fun!

Flying is fine. Safer than driving. There will be bumps, odd noises, some random vibrations - you have to keep reminding yourself that these are normal. Humans have been flying for 100 years, we've got it worked out pretty well. Relax and enjoy the view.

If you can swing it, get a seat in the emergency exit row. This means you have to open the door in a crash. It also means you're first out - always makes me feel better. The odds of having to worry about it are slim, though .. The best thing about exit rows is you have much more leg room.

Those are pretty short flights.
If the aircraft is small, say less than 50 seats the ride can be pretty bumpy - this is nothing to worry about, although for the more sensitive of us it can feel like our stomachs are not exactly where they´re supposed to be.
Your ears can pop a bit or feel funny, but you´d be reaaly unlucky to experience any pain.
That´s probably the worst of it. Most aircrews are really well trained and look after you well. Sit back and enjoy the ride!

first time i flew i was worried, but there isnt anything to worry about, when you first take off your stomach is like woaah!!! lol

nothing to worry about hunni xx

Omaha eh? I use to live there for 4 years on one of the side streets of Dodge. I use to fly from there to Chicago all the time because my family all live in IL. The flight between those two cities is a breeze. It is fairly fast and I haven't had any air troubles with the ones I took ticket with. You may feel some turbulence but that's perfectly normal. If you really were scared, I'd ask your doctor for something to help you cope. The flight from Chicago to Orlando is just a bit longer than your first one will be. I can't remember the flight I had for that one.. The last time I flew from Chicago to FL I was 14.. so about 10 years ago this January.
I always bring paper because I like to write on the planes but reading is good too. If you are a person who gets car sick you may get air sick ... It just depends on the person. Bring something that you feel comfy with and they may offer you a pillow for you to rest if you just want to sleep. Otherwise ask for one!

OMG!!! I love to fly in airplanes. They are so much fun! Don't be scared. My bff is afraid of flying in planes, but I know better. I'm 13 now and I have been flying in planes since I was a few months old.

The worst parts are taking off and landing. Those are the parts that make me the most nervous. Descending and ascending at a fast rate can make your ears pop from pressure so make sure you bring gum to chew, even during the ride too.It can sometimes get turbulent, and you may get nervous from that, but it's just the clouds.

I would bring an iPod or cd player to listen to, also. Bring a book to read and maybe a small pillow and some snacks. You can't bring your own water bottle on unless you buy it after you get through security.

When you ride on a plane it kind of feels like you're riding in a very smooth car ride without the turns and stops. Sometimes you can't even feel the plane moving once its at a constant height in the sky if its big enough.

Good Luck!

the take off and landing are hardest. your ears might pop and it can hurt. but the flight itself is a breeze

remotefuse
it wall amaze you at how fast you will go at first, its really fast, then when the airplane takes off, it will feel like a ride at a carnival, you know that one where you are spinning really fast? just not as intense, just the light sense that there is more pressure than you are used to, if you dont want your ears to pop, chew gum, i dont know why it works but every pilot will swear by it

Some people do get stressed while flying...and it can be a little stressful to get through security and baggage and blah blah blah. But it will definitely be such a great experience that I am sure you won't forget it. The first time I flew was from Charlotte, NC to Key West, FL and I was 23 years old. I loved it! I wasn't sure about the procedure for getting through security, taking your shoes off, showing your boarding pass at every turn, but remember you are not the only person that day that has never flown.
Take off may feel like a roller coaster because your stomach will drop a little. You may even feel a little weightless, but once you're in the air it is just like riding on a bus! I would advise taking some music with you or a book to read and most of all...relax! Also, grab a pack of gum and smack on that because your ears may have some pressure from the altitude. If you are able wear something comfortable...like you would lounge around your home in on a Saturday, that will put you at ease as well.
Enjoy your flight...it is the SAFEST form of transportation in the world.

Airplanes are safer than cars. The pilots must be extremely qualified. You may feel a little sick during takeoff and landing, due to the rapid change in altitude. If you experience motion sickness, take some kind of medicine beforehand. Don't worry, take some headphones and just relax and listen to some music.

It is normal
Just when the airplane is getting up is bad
When it spends a little time you forget that you are flying.
So don´t be nervous.
Sleep, read a magazine or something like that, ok?
Don´t worry
Good lucky

Get there early, in Chicago make sure you know what terminal and gate your flight is at and just relax in the air. You are safer in the air than the car you rode in to the airport.

Well u should bring about 4 or more paper bags if u get sick oh and bring snacks if yor hungry beacouse if your going on coach snacks will not be free also u should bring extra money becouse u might lose your money and thats not fun or u can put money in your bank so u dont worrie about losing your cash make sure u sit by nice people not mean people. It is not that bad! There are so many safety precautions that are taken care of. Make sure you bring things to take your mind of flying but other than that, you should be fine. For me, i get an adrenalin rush from flying. I was nervous the first time but it was so cool when you were up in the air! Have fun and take care!

If your plane does crash you will experience a horrible painful death beyound the measure of words.

Have a safe trip, take care now
