Hi, how do you feel the first time you travel on an airplane alone for the first time?

Hi, I'm a teenager and this would be the first time I travel on the plane alone. Were you anxious on your first trip? Can you describe your trip? What are some useful tips that would make traveling easier? Not the basic tips like luggage theft, but more trickier things.
Additional Details
To some people who think that I would actually be piloting a plane by myself, sorry, that was my mistake ^_^. What I meant is a trip on commercial airlines. Again, that was my mistake.

I flew alone for the first time at 19 (I had only flown commercially twice before). I just made sure to keep track of the time. When I got through security I found my gate first, double checked the current time and the boarding time before I did any window shopping in the newstands or grabbed a bite to eat.

Now with cell phones, you can set an alarm to sound 5 minutes or so before your plane is to begin boarding so you can make sure you're at the gate in time.

As a rule, I always use the restroom before boarding the plane as I never know how long it will be before the captin turns off the seatbelt sign.

If you have to change planes, again, I suggets that you find your new gate before doing anything else. On my second trip alone my plane landed in Logan and I thought I had time to grab a bite to eat and use the restroom before my next flight. However, when I found the gate for my connection boarding had already begun. If I hadn't checked before doing anything else I would have missed my flight.

In unfamiliar airports don't be afraid to ask for directions to your gate, baggage claim, etc.

If you've flown before you know what to do. This time the only thing that's different is that you don't have a companion telling you when to head to the gate, or where to go. Use common sense and you should be fine.

My first flight was my first day on the Job...that's right! I trained to be a flight attendant... and had never been on a plane! I'm still here 10 years later and I love every day at work..it's still magical to me even though I know it's all physics. I believe knowledge is key...once you know what it is that makes an airplane fly...and how strong they are...there's no need to worry or be anxious. There are quite a few books out there that can help too. Tips: Wear comfortable loose clothing...drink lots of water...bring gum cause your ears might hurt if they don't equalize with the pressure...and try to get a window seat!!!! The views are amazing from up there! Enjoy!

Hmm. Not anxious about the flying, but the locomotion in between.
I've flown by myself 2x in the USA, and 1x in Brazil.
But there are people to help you if you're clueless.

If someone checks you in at the departure, you pretty much don't have anything to worry about.
All you gotta do, IF you have a connection somewhere on the ground, is walk from one gate to the other.
Not a big deal.

Fun..................

Don't laugh but my husband was a pilot for a commercial airline. First time I flew was as an adult. Yes scared, anxious and could not comprehend how the plane stayed up there. Only thing that works for me is Music and a good book.
Comfortable shoes.

flying on the plane for the first time alone is the most amazing feeling one can experience. I say this because you realize that you are one of possible thousands in the air, unlike 6.4 or whatever BILLION on the ground. and flying alone makes an adventure, which is always a plus!

I have never flown by my self. I don't think it would be fun. You could sit next to a fat person, a slop, or someone just plain weird. I love plain rides though
