the whole idea of security checks on the passengers, and of safety checks to the plane is so that the plane will be safe.

at the end of the day, no matter what you think, you are still more likely to be killed on your way to the airport than in the plane.
it is the safest way to travel.

people are taking it way out of proportion - look at the ratio of planes getting hijacked and planes not getting hijacked, the odds of you getting on a plane that is hijacked is phenomenally long. get one the plane and relax! you're safe!

you can be assured as the regualtions arre very very strct they have a firm yet professional heath and safety procedures which are commenced at the beginnning of each flight sp you have niothing to worry about their is top security now so you are 100% safe

Flight systems have endless backups almost every system on board an aircraft has at least 2 redundant systems that can back it if i goes down.

Also Aircraft Engineers are highly qualified. If you stick to a well known airline then there maintenance schedules are very good, however if you choose to fly on some of the cheaper carriers or Budget airlines then there Maintenance is not as strict as other carriers, and therefore they are the ones that jeopardise your flying experience.

thousands and thousands of flights take off and land everyday with millions of passengers worldwide. Odds are you are likely to get on a plane which is going to be safe than the opposite.

Just remember to belt up. It's the turbulences which may throw you onto the ceiling of the cabin and break your neck and back.

I am a pilot. Airplanes are very safe in America. There are thousands more car crashes than airplane crashes a year.

They are pretty much flying pieces of junk...The miles, fatigue and pressures put on them...Lack of maintenance to keep prices low....It's a wonder there are no more crashes than there are. No travel is safe..just pray its not your time to go....

lEAVE THAT TO THE AIRPORT SECURITY THEY DO A GREAT JOB MAKING SAFETY A NUMBER ONE PRIORIETY.

Doesn't the same question apply when you get in a car or on a bus or train or even cross the road. beleive it or not flying is still the safest way to travel.
