How clean are the pillows and blankets on airplanes?

I wonder how often they change them/clean them.
Additional Details
It's more like I don't wanna catch lice from someone or use a blanket that a kid may have rubbed their snot on.

Not clean at all!! Here's how it works. Each night the airplane sits overnight at one of its cities it flies to. The crew who works there will take all of the pillows and blankets off of the flight, and change the pillow cases ONLY! That means that you still have a ton of soiled pillows containing god knows what that seeps through the pillow case throughout the 16-20 hours a day that plane flew for.

So if you are on the first flight of the day for that airplane, then your pillow cases are fresh at least, but the pillow is very dirty. Throughout the day, nothing gets changed very often as airline crews only have about a half hour to turn the plane around. They just take all the pillows and stack them in the overhead compartment nice and neat so you think they are fresh.

But this is how it's SUPPOSED to work: At each stop, the ground crew is supposed to bring a bag filled with fresh pillows, or pillows with fresh cases on them, and swap them out with the dirty ones from the previous flights. But that rarely happens as I mentioned they want to get the plane out quickly.

Blankets are the same. The blankets are switched out each night, but during the day, they are just folded up.

However most airlines are doing away with pillows and blankets all together! They are selling them on most flights which means you're at least getting a clean one.

This question has been asked before, I thought matmedfet (the aircraft maintainence supervisor) probably gave the most accurate description, even though he didn't get the points:

unless your flyig with "dingy paper plane" flights, they normally use industrial cleaners in industrial grade machines to clean
