How do I get through the take off and landing on a plane as I'm terrified of those parts?!?

Just try to relax, have faith in the pilots as they ARE extensively trained if they are flying transatlanitc.

Air travel is MUCH safer than in the car, so think of that. Enjoy it if you can! Not that often you get to see cities in such a view.

I usually just lay my head back, and enjoy the ride. Remember to breathe! hehe.

You have to put it out of your mind. Put on headphones and close your eyes, read a magazine, focus on what you will do when you get where you're going.

I feel the same way you do, and these things have helped me.

I have the SAME exact problem.

I feel like such an idiot because I usually start crying when I take off.

My therapist wrote me a letter to bring my dog with as emotional support. I'm trying this out when I fly on V-day.

I love the take offs and landings the best and when I fly I take as many legs to the trip as I can without it costing me more money.

I have this same problem and I have to travel all the time for my job. Usually what I do is keep my ipod close but hidden, like in my pocket or under my leg, even though you are supposed to put it away for take off and landing. Once you start to feel the engines revving up for take off, (or once the flight attendants have taken their seats for landing) put in your ear buds and blast your favorite song as loud as you can. Do this discreetly so the flight attendants don't see you. It helps to wear your hair down to cover the earbuds. Keep your eyes closed and the window shade closed. I've found it also helps to tap my foot and chew gum, and press my earbuds into my ears with both hands. If you can get some xanax or something from your doctor, that would help a lot. If not, take NyQuil or some other cold medicine that makes you sleepy. Also, the more you fly, the less freaked out you will be. I used to have scream-out-loud panic attacks during take-off and landing, and now I'm at least able to keep that inside. Good luck!

Go to your doctor to see if u can get anything prescribed that will calm u and u can take shortly before take off and landing my mom does that when she travels
