How do I pass the time during a 14 hour flight?!?

Sleep. Eat the meals. Talk with whomever is going with you. Buy a second, portable DVD player that runs on batteries. Sorry, I have only a little compassion for this, after I flew from the US to Sydney Australia, and then back to the US from Auckland, New Zealand, which was about 30 hours of flying time each way (40 hours door to door with the layovers and drive times). 14 hours would have been almost to our halfway point, where we changed planes in Seoul, Korea.

read, sleep, bring an ipod with videos loaded on it or a laptop with movies, draw, write.

Sleep and take lots of magazines or a book.

Use your laptop 3 hours, use your iPod 3 more, then read books the rest of the way. You can use a portable dvd player, also, I'm sure one of your friends has one you can borrow. Then sleep. You're there!

yeah I have done plenty flights overseas, istanbul, germany, amsterdamn I am a guru so I can suggest some things, ambient music to relax I get tense on any flight, snacks since they offer crap to eat, dont have like a PSP or handheld gaming thing? Buy a couple new magazines. Sleep pills. Talk to people . walk back and forth , I am 27 and do that. u like to draw, buy a new sketch pad or write a book ........

There's this great series called Twilight i just finished which took me 3 days. Trashy mags are good time wasters also.

The best thing you can take overseas is a good friend!

I am going to fly in June, about 5 hours though. And I am excited! To pass time definitly charge up that iPod and listen to it as much as you can. Go to sleep, if you can. Look out the window. Strike up a conversation. Bring or buy a handheld game to play. Draw or doodle something. Relax. I've been on car rides that long, even longer, so I am the master at wasting time. It's tough but you'll get through it.

dam i feel for u, iam going to pakistan and the flight is about 24 hrs and i have decided to sleep for a long period of time, eat when i can, read books on pakistan.. that will be my flight, if i can get access to a phone, ill probably talk the whole time on it.lol enjoy your trip.

Make sure your iPod is completely charged.
Bring the laptop, books, magazines, maybe some drawing stuff, if you like to do that.
If you have a portable DVD player or a PSP than bring those.
And than just sleep when you get bored.
You'd be surprised on how quickly a flight goes by when you're sleeping.

Also most planes have built in sceens in the headrest, and you can listen to music and buy movies and stuff like that.

other than the obvious sleeping and reading you may want to consider learning a new language, buy a couple of tapes or books. or simply just buy something that interest you, something that you could learn and use in life like the history of a particular country. you can do this along with the use of your iPod and movies to past the time.

I was flying to British Columbia from Manitoba, quite a distance shorter than your flight, but I borrowed an iPod touch from a friend and watched the DaVinci Code.
~~If this is not an option, you might want to do puzzles, (ie. sudoku, search-a-word,etc), or name and write down all of the movies you can think of. It works when you're driving from Winnipeg to Las Vegas.

Get an Ipod and download songs and movies, get a portable game system such as a Nintendo DS and some games, get at least 4 good books, play hangman with the guy/girl on the next seat, buy one of those "Puzzle" magazines they sell at airports, bring a sektch pad and just draw funny pictures, wear super comfy clothes and shoes, bring your own inflatable pillow and blanket, write a long letter to a loved one.
