How do I prevent my ears from popping during flight?

Everytime I fly, my ears pop because of the altitude. I have gotten some suggestions and none of them work. I have tried chewing gum and it hasn't worked. Yawning doesn't work for me most of the time and I don't want to hold my nose and blow because it hurts. Is there any suggestion that you have besides those? I'm flying in a week. Thanks!

You can purchase ear plugs designed to wear while flying.

Here is a link. Can be purchased at Walmart

Good Luck, hope this helps)

Umm......theres basically no other way but to suffer, lol....I've tried head standing before, it worked. But I dont think you'd do that on a flight......so I dont think there is much of a choice :)
Hope This Helped.

If you can't be bothered to use the 'usual' methods try to equalise the pressure by keeping your jib open - if that's too difficult for you then look at alternative forms of travel.

Just don't wait until you are near cruise altirude, do it often and it shouldn't be painful.

Well, I hate that to; I have the same things happening to me to. But I have a special type of earplug for planes that work. They are purple. But if you aren't willing to pay and search in stores, you can do this idea too. But don't grind your teeth that will hurt the next day or so. You should have your index finger and pointer and whenever you are about to land have those two fingers and plug your ears with them. It helped me one day. It might work I am not sure if it will work for you. I hope it does.
